Had our colour selection yesterday. It went from 9am – 3pm with a one hour break in between. We went in hoping that we’d get guidance and good advice about what would/wouldn’t flow or look good and thankfully our colour selection consultant was great. She made the process a lot easier and offered some good suggestions.

Because this is to be our “forever” home we have splurged where we can. The lighting and electrical outlets alone will cost $6,884 as sufficient lighting is important to us. Pricing list for lights/electrical outlets/tv points/heat lamps etc:

Things to think about before you go: where you would want lights, where would you want electrical outlets, where to put light switch, ask where the heating/cooling switch will be located, how you want the exterior to look including the sides and back of the house (we only really thought about the front before we went), if you want a pendant light above the dining table make sure you know what measurements your dining table will be so you can place the light directly in the middle, consider having electrical outlet under the kitchen island especially for large islands.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING PHOTOS OR SAMPLES OF WHAT YOU HAVE DECIDED ON.

At our next appointment which is the tender we get our pricing and site cost and we are still able to make changes.
